ABOUT MSCI

  ORGANIZATION

Committees

MSCI committees include member volunteers and national staff members who coordinate meeting times and places, provide information, and otherwise assist committee members.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee recommends a slate of nominees for the Board of Directors and as Honorary Members for election at the May Annual Meeting.

Chapter Leadership Development Council

This committee advises the MSCI staff about the needs of the chapters and helps to train new or future chapter officers.

MSCI Foundation for Continuing Education and Research

The MSCI Foundation for Continuing Education is the entity responsible for the institute's education and training program. The foundation board works with the staff to ensure that the education program provides a high return on investment for members, and that training programs improve member productivity.

Canadian Council

The Canadian Council defines and organizes programming for the Canadian membership that reflects the regulatory and market environment faced by members in that nation.

Ad Hoc Committees of the Board

In addition to its standing committees, the Board of Directors and staff will form additional committees to address particular institute needs. For example, in 2004 MSCI formed a large committee of members to lead its recruiting campaign, and smaller committees to examine the institute's publication options and to explore merger opportunities.
