Tell The Trump Administration Which Regulations It Should Roll Back

The Trump administration has launched a web portal that will be administered by the General Services Administration (GSA) and will allow any member of the public to submit information on specific regulations or rules that they would like to see changed or rescinded. The new portal is an important component of the administration’s efforts to prioritize a rebalancing of the federal government’s regulatory regime for businesses operating in the United States.

The Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) encourages its member companies to make their voices heard.

As the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has pointed out, manufacturers have been shouldering enormous regulatory compliance costs, nearly $350 billion annually, or 12 percent of the sector’s entire contribution to U.S. gross domestic product.

MSCI is part of NAM’s Manufacturers for Sensible Regulations Coalition, which advocates for rebalancing and reconsidering burdensome federal regulations that harm U.S. companies’ ability to compete globally. At the same time, the coalition supports sensible regulations that provide long-term certainty to manufacturers to create jobs while maintaining important protections for the communities where they operate.
