Steel Shipment Declines Continue
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.
Steel shipments decreased for the ninth consecutive month in the U.S. and for the twelfth consecutive month in Canada. Aluminum shipments increased slightly in both the U.S. and Canada.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in July 2019 decreased by 7.4% from July 2018. Shipments of aluminum products increased by 3.0% from the same month in 2018.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian center steel shipments in July 2019 decreased by 4.0% from July 2018. Shipments of aluminum products increased by 6.0% from the same month in 2018.
