Taxes, Trade, Trump: What’s next for stock, bond markets?

A new presidential administration always means change, but the first few months of the Trump administration have been a whirlwind of executive orders and tariff announcements. The flurry of activity has led to deep swings in the markets.

The White House has given no indications that the president is slowing down. Added to the policy mix the fact that members of the U.S. House and Senate have started to write legislation to extend expiring provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act while the country is approaching its statutory debt limit.
