- As SteelOrbis reported, the Mexican government recently announced that it will impose tariffs ranging from five to 15 percent on imports of more than 100 steel products from all countries except the United States and Canada. The list of affected products includes hot rolled pipes, galvanized steel, and drill pipes. Products subject to the 15 percent penalties faced the tariffs starting November 23, 2021. Products facing five to 10 percent penalties won’t see those levies collected until June 2022.
