Learn How MSCI Is Revitalizing Its Chapters

MSCI has embarked upon a board-directed strategic initiative to enhance our value proposition to member companies by reaching more of their employees — from the C-suite to the shop floor.

As a company-based membership organization, every employee at member companies enjoy complete access to all MSCI products and services.

As such, it is essential every employee be well-informed about MSCI’s offerings.

Our chapters are one of the key links to member company employees. For more than a century chapters have held networking events that bring the industrial metals community together, and, for nearly two decades, they have led our chapter scholarship programs, awarding more than $10 million to children of member company employees.

Chapters have been, and remain, a vital element in MSCI’s quest to expand our community and for MSCI member companies to realize the full benefits of being a part of our trade association.

That is why MSCI has launched a plan to revitalize, re-energize, and transform MSCI chapters.

We must leverage our successes while proactively assessing a changing environment that impacts members. We must develop new methods to reach more member company organizations.

Rose Manfredini will lead a strategic effort to enhance the relevancy and vibrancy of MSCI chapters. Rose will continue to be responsible for MSCI’s national events, like our upcoming Economic Summit. Beth Joyce has taken over membership responsibilities, collaborating closely with Briana Dee, our director of member engagement, and our two account management leaders, Kathy Spellman and Julie Thane.

In her new capacity, Rose will:

  • Identify chapter volunteer “best practices”;
  • Monitor chapter governance and scholarship programs;
  • Collaborate with member CEOs to increase company engagement on volunteer chapter boards;
  • Design a plan to increase representation of Millennial and Gen Z industrial metals professionals on chapter boards;
  • Co-lead with our MSCI staff chapter liaisons a plan to communicate our new apprenticeship program;
  • Oversee a new trade skills scholarship program; and
  • Ensure every employee at member company facilities is aware of our scholarship program for their children.
