Only Steel Shipments in US Increase in October
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill
The MSCI Metals activity report for the month of October, 2022 shows only steel shipments in the U.S. increasing from year-ago levels. All other shipments in the U.S. and Canada continued below year-ago levels.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in October, 2022 increased by 1.7% from October, 2021. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 2.5% from the same month in 2021.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian service center steel shipments in October, 2022 decreased by 4% from October 2021. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 7.9% from the same month in 2021.
