Aluminum tubing can be ordered by two dimensions, not three:

  • OD and ID
  • OD and wall thickness (most common)
  • ID and wall thickness
  • Length

Tubing uses actual OD in inches or millimeters.

Wall thickness is expressed by:

  • Decimal
  • Millimeter
  • Fractions

Example: 2”OD x .250” wall 6061-T6
