Year Over Year Steel Shipment Declines Continue
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.
Steel shipments decreased for the seventh consecutive month in the U.S. and for the eleventh consecutive month in Canada. Aluminum shipments decreased slightly in the U.S. and for the second consecutive month in Canada.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in June 2019 decreased by 11.4% from June 2018. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 1.5% from the same month in 2018.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian center steel shipments in June 2019 decreased by 7.1% from June 2018. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 5.9% from the same month in 2018.
